His brother was diagnosed with Cancer last week.
That really sucks, but at least his type is very curable for someone his age.
Still it will be a tough ordeal on everyone close to him. Prayers to him and his family, and especially his brother.

Yea, It's just adding to the already rough childhood they have both had.

Personally, No i don't believe that our pitrid passing game has turned wrs off the last 2 years. We had Hunter and Davis commited and both were top OOS wrs. They didn't decommit because of our passing game.Davis got the offer he wanted in Texas and Hunter was going to Tennessee a long time before he decommited. That had to do with his coach pushing him and his want to be closer to home. That year we landed Kadron Boone who in many of the best FL guys minds was the best wr in FL that year.Lateness in the game was the reason we weren't able to really push more OOS kids.Fobbs and Williams were good gets regardless. This past year our top wr targets were all instate.Sure there were some OOS kids we offered but Landry(the best wr in the country),Beckham and Sylve were our tp guys from the beginning.Sylve decided to go to Bama early and we took Turner in the summer.Alonzo lewis also got offered very early in the process(actually the summer before his process really started)and he was a wr to most everyone and still could be but likely plays S.I honestly don't see who our putrid passing game cost us.We even turned down Trey metoyer early last year so it's pretty clear we felt good about our chances with the instate kids. The kids so far this year haven't mentioned anything about our passing game being bad that i've seen or heard and i am very tuned in to recruiting. It just hasn't been a factor to this point.Suprises me but i think it's affecting QB recruiting more than WR recruiting. We haven't exactly been knocking down the door with top QB recruits lately. We got fortunate that we were the 1st school that really pushed Mettenberger. We had great chances with Bridgewater and Brissett but Brisset never would've ended up here and for some reason we chose not to push Bridgewater at the end.
Thank you... I'm sitting here reading all these post that say we can't get top OOS receivers, well for one, like you mentioned, we got the ones we truly wanted because IN STATE was our priority this year. High school players aren't stupid, they watch games too. They know LSU has struggled passing it AND still didn't COMPLETELY abandon the passing game. Balance is how Les wants his offense run. High school WR's would love to play in a more pro-style offense like this rather than going somewhere where people claim they are a product of a system...

I have heard that if it is up to his step dad he will be a Hog. I hope not, if he isn't a Tiger then I hope he goes to the Big 12. I have seen this young man play football, basketball, and track the past 2 years, and if you think covering A. J. Green and Julio caused us problems, then I will promise you we don't want Dorial on our schedule every year.

You are spot on...

He talked about a direct flight to Gainsville from his hometown.

It's springfield, mo and the only direct flight from springield even close to that is St. Peterburg, FL. That's 150 miles apart.

the article was a scout Article, I'll see if I can find it.
Hopefully I am not thinking of the wrong recruit
ETA: It was Springfield to Orlando

One thing possible factor in his recruitment to Florida would seem to be distance. His coach and father actually disagrees with that sentiment.
“I don’t think distance is as big of a factor as is the easiness to get to the place,” he said. “Florida, even though it isn’t close, it is easy to get to every day. There is a flight

I have never heard any direct word of him but it looks like he is going to be an elite prospect and judging by his geographic position I'm gonna say if I had to guess a school I would say OU.

So LSU just has to make sure there are constant flights from there to New Orleans and we are good

Good luck with that. Most of the connections are just like any other regional airport in that region. Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, etc.

Maybe K.C. or St. Louis goes direct to Orlando but Springfield only has a direct to St. Pete. Still, K.C. and St. Louis are three to three in a half hours away from springfield. Doesn't make sense for UF.

Looking to stay closer to home
Arky is definitely closest to home for him, but OU is just a little bit farther. Fayetteville is also a much nicer town than Norman, but he has a much better chance at a National Title as a Sooner than as a Piggie.

Looking pretty good for Arkansas, Petrino has been to multiple basketball and football games of his, and has let them know he is our top priority this year. As has been mentioned before, family and proximity make the Hogs a very attractive place, not to mention the offense.
