stay out of delacroix it will be a zoo
The big trout, over 4-5 pounders overwinter at the nearshore rigs, as the temp warms the little marshies move south from around lafite and MG and the big girls move in and they meet in buras probably the week of the march full moon. the gorge for a few weeks then move to the beach and passes to make baby trouts. water is 60, could be 64-65 by next friday, when it hits 68 its on in buras. They are in redfish bay right now. Add in the fact that the miss is at 3.2 ft in NO today and predicted to fall to 1.2 a month from now

Ya dke let me know what yall think and ill hook up with yall just to meet everybody at the Empire kayak tournament. But ya dude if yall could get me something i can run it by my professor who I'm planning to work with and we'll check it out, his research area is mainly fish ecology. He's received over 10 million dollars in grant money so far for his work from every agency you can think of. Right now he has several grants studying red snapper out in the gulf, but he asked me last semester if i wanted to do inshore or offshore. I know he has also received plenty of past grants doing inshore research. He has another grad student right now research trout population dynamics and ecology, pretty tight sh*t.

Well I'm currently a junior i start my research this summer, what will happen is i use this as my undergrad research, I graduate next may but people normally if they stay here for grad school they just continue there research through grad school, so it turns into a thesis when i get in. As far as funding we do not need much for research if i need some i can apply for one but this prof has alot of equipment that i can use already.

Well i guess i never really answered the question, if i keep the same subject probably 3.5 years. If I finish my research I could possibly switch up to something else but more of like an add on to my research, not something way different.

We only fish LC but we fish pretty regular from November to March. Then start again from June to September when we not at Toledo Bend.

Yeah, LC is a different animal. Big Lake trout, in November and February there's a lot of pigs caught.

Tide sucks this weekend, but I'm going tomorrow and it looks good. High and falling, which is what I like for where I'm going.
