Love this movie, but...
A 6ft thick concrete wall? Uh, no.
That had to be worse luck than getting falsely convicted of murder. I guess that wall is key to the whole story though.

and remain in said concrete room for his for the entirety of his sentence.

depends on the age of the prison. Reinforced concrete did not take off until the 20-30. So yeah, its' possible depending on the architecture.

Not really. Wasn't he working for the warden and the guards? His work probably garnered himself the favor of keeping the cell he wanted.

No it's not.
..and 2) it was reinforced, you could see the rebar he cut through. (although it was in the wrong place and not enough for a 6ft thick wall)

I think he was lucky to get that cell in the first place, yes. After that, he curried a lot of favor with the warden and the guards by doing the stuff he did for them. So I think it's more to do with that than being lucky the whole time.

Nothing lucky about crawling in shite.

Except that he was no longer in prison and could live the life he dreamed about for all those years.

True, but if he was truly lucky he wouldn't need to crawl in shite
Posted on 2/15/11 at 11:22 am to Hullabaloo
If he was unlucky, it wouldn't have been raining so he could wash the shite off him.
