Heath Evans just said on ESPN First Take that Drew Brees had a torn ACL for six weeks of the season this past year!!!! Geuss the rumors were true.
Edit: He came back on and said MCL.

If that's true then Drew is even more badass then we originally thought.

Doesn't suprise me. It seemed like there was something wrong.

Oh we all knew he was badass, but playing with a torn ACL brings him to Chuck Norris on PCP badass levels.

And Cutler goes out the NFC Championship game with a tweaked knee. Now I don't know how serve his knee is, but I am guessing Brees would not have came out that game.

Heath Evans was quoted in the paper a few weeks talking about Brees being hurt worse than everyone knew. He didn't say ACL though.
Why is Heath the only person from the organization that is talking about this?

If that's true

Did he say ACL or MCL?
MCL is more of a 6 week type of injury.
ACL would likely require surgery and a long rehab.
A few days ago Payton went out of his way to say Drew wouldnt be having any surgeries this offseason.

it had to be partially torn or he would have had surgery by now.

I seriously doubt he's gonna be playing in the Pro Bowl with a torn ACL

Heath said this months ago, that "drew was playing through an injury that would sideline even the toughest players"
And that he would explain more after the season was over,
"he was basically playing on one leg for at least 6 weeks"

he came out saying this a month ago...
Evans defended his quarterback, saying Brees played with a left knee injury that was much worse than publicly disclosed.
“Everyone knew he had some type of injury going on, but it was probably an MCL injury that no one else would have dared to play with, and he didn’t miss a beat,’’ Evans said. “He was out there warring through for his teammates, the betterment of our team. “Lord knows we’re nowhere near as good without [No.] 9 suited up for us. So I think the majority of some of those interceptions came during that span when he was really fighting through injuries that a lesser man would have shut it down and said, ‘Forget the team, I’m worried about me and I don’t want to get myself hurt worse.’
“He said, ‘No, I’m not going to miss a practice snap, much less a game snap.’ I thought that those interceptions, at least some of them, came from throwing off one leg for six weeks.’’
