"Spartacus" has a new leading man.
Just days after Starz announced they were planning to recast the title role, left vacated by Andy Whitfield, who has been battling cancer, a rep for the cable channel confirmed to Access Hollywood that Australian actor Liam McIntyre has won the part.

I was really hoping for Whitfield to pull through. In any case, I pray he eventually gets into remission with his cancer and stays that way forever.
ETA: Got my DVR set for Friday night and the beginning of the prequel!

I watched the first episode via netflix stream and really didn't enjoy it. I love roman era type movies and 300 (visual comparison) but this just seemed like over the top blood just so they could have a lot of blood.
Decided to watch 1st ep of Tudors last night to deicde which I would watch and I have to say Tudors was much better, but I have to admit they are very different despite being historical shows.

You hate naked women.
I was waiting for that comment
It was definitely not the nudity that turned me off. I can't watch hour episodes of a show just b/c for about 10 minutes there is nudity. Women are always naked on the internet. just sayin.
