i don't know. i don't think that is as important as having the right fit. I don't know what jim mcelwain's offense ranked at fresno prior to going to alabama. however, he's fits what they are trying to do and he's done very well. Same with jim chaney at tenn.

I'm leaning on nussmeier because i believe if the guy had as much success as he did playing the position in college and pro, he obviously know's how to attack a defense. Then, he has come up the ranks with some of the best offensive coaches in college football. I don't think it would be him no knowing what or how to formulate a plant to attack a defense.

i like his nfl background to go with being a relatively young coach. he should be able to recruit and coach. which is what we need. not just a good offensive mind like g.c..

as to the cat that don't like him because he feels locker didn't perform well. locker had one of his best season this year. he got better as the season went on. And, he picked apart one of the best defenses/minds in the country in pelini during the bowl game.
