What is YOUR recipe for jello shots?

I'm finding a lot of inconsistencies online while looking for a recipe. I've never made these myself but have consumed on many an occasion. I want to make sure I get the right ratio so the jello will properly set. TIA.

Follow recipe on box. Use half the amount of water and use liquor for the other half.

It calls for both hot and cold water. Do I half the total water amount or just the cold?

In my experience, you want to use the called for hot water because that is what melts the gelatin mix. Once you have turned the powder into the colored liquid with the hot, half the cold water and use the other half as alcohol. We always use vodka and it comes out great.

This, but I always use a little more alc cause Im drunk when making them.

The frick is going on here.

Thanks, I think...I'm usually not one for posting much because usually what I think is already in the thread I'm reading. Plus my husband has taught me to not get involved when the men are discussing!

I did margarita for St. Paddy's last year. I used the lime JELLO, 1/4 amount of water for melting, 1/4 sweet&sour, 1/4 tequila, 1/4 triple sec.
For orange, orange JELLO. I used orange Big Shot for 1/2 water and orange vodka for liquor. My favorite.
For white, I used coconut milk, malibu and pinapple. It looked like cum, had the texture of silicone and tasted "okay". Most people refused to try it.
