Hogs moved in last week and have just about destroyed their front yard.(DeSoto Parish) Monday night they caught 8 in two traps. Me and my buddy went and picked up 7 of them. We cleaned 4 and gave my brother in law 3. Largest one was about 125lbs. Louisiana had better get a handle on these damn things quick or we are gonna be in big trouble (if we aren't already).

What type of traps were you using?
BTW, It looks like your sausage problem is solved this year...

I'm not a trophy hunter and I hunt to fill the freezer, so I would love to have that problem.

what are the laws in LA for hunting hogs? Season? Weapon? License? Time of day?

add my former lease to your list
they would move in and devastate everything, then leave. then come back and start over. i am talking about food plots, feeders, trails and even one of my deer cams.

not too much.
None kill at will
pretty sure you can't use c4 but you might want to verify
big game
shooting hours during hunting seasons. It don't matter outside.

if i am not mistaken i think the weapon has to be what is in season. during bow season for deer, only bow etc, etc, etc. during summer or no regular hunting season, your choice.

It's their own fault for not getting some help in there. There's plenty of hunters who love to hunt them, but nobody wants to bring in outside people.

hijack/ (kinda)
If someone want help shooting hogs. Let me know, I have never even seen a hog and I've been wanting to slay some pork

Going to make a post-deer season "squirrel hunt" to try to kill as many as I can. Buzzards gotta eat-same as a worm.

we trapped and shot the hell out of them. they move out then come back in.
we trap hogs quite a bit. problem is, hogs are very smart. they eventually learn what the traps are and dont enter. we became very good at disguising traps and using tricks to get them.

i might can help you out. where i am talking about is in st. helena parish. i am getting back into the lease this spring.
it is no guarantee of killing one but good reason to get in the woods and put down some cold ones.

They are just now starting to ease their way into E. Carroll. I have never seen one, but 2 of my neighbors saw them during corn harvest.
