Would you assume he has a deal with Miles? Otherwise, wouldn't he have made plans to head to San Diego to talk to Hoke?

I get that he could fly back out today if nothing worked out with Miles, but if reports are true that Miles met with LSU officials late last night, Michigan has team meetings scheduled today and Brandon back home...

Actually he would make plans for Hoke to fly here I believe.

As was ripped from Rivals pay site by posters last night, Dave had told folks yesterday to prepare Schembechler Hall for a new coach.

Considering Miles met with LSU officials late last night I doubt he has turned it down...yet.

If he turned him down, then why was there no immediate announcement?

If that's true, then Miles has to have accepted unless Hoke agreed to take the job by phone or through intermediaries.

Because contract talks with Alleva still underway--that is a guess

Contract talks with whom? The delay could just as easily be UM and Miles giving LSU time to ink the deal with the new coach, especially if it is being done through the same agent. :fingerscrossedifMilesisleaving:

Im not sure on the whole process...but i thought the plan was to go to Dallas today in part to meet with Miles' agent. Why are they no longer going to Dallas?

Not sure, the timeline has become so skewered. Miles didn't know when the meeting was going to take place yesterday, then he met with them last night. They were going to be in Dallas today, now that's off.

Who in the hell really knows what is going on.

I think Miles knew more than he was letting on his presser yesterday. I'm not saying he was being dishonest, it's just in cases like this you don't want to let too much out.
Plus, why was Brandons jet in Dallas for two days? Totally speculating, but could it be that Miles made his interest known and Brandon and Miles agent were hammering out a contract to present and go over with Les yesterday?

I don't think that is necessarily true.

All of those could also mean Miles said no, IMO.

The Michigan team meeting could be just to communicate to the players what is going on. The players are probably feeling left out of the whole thing. Also, the meeting could be canceled if the UM AD decides he has nothing to tell them.

All true. Just thinking out loud to hear various ways of looking at it.
