WOuld we be able to match 5,997,000 per year? If we could, there would be a possibility. Small chance, but with Saban's track record you never know.

Coaches don't just up and leave their jobs, w/o a reason. The only job Miles would leave LSU for is Mich. -- he's an alum, a "Michigan man," etc. Saban is not an "LSU man." He no doubt has fond memories of coaching here. At this point, he's not going to make a lateral move from a high-paying, great job.
LSU is certainly a better job than TCU, but Patterson just got a raise and likes it there. He's not going anywhere.
Pelini has had issues w/ Nebraska, hence, he might be interested in making a move.

I do not want him back either, just seeing the stars aligning. He is a guy that seeks perfection. I see him looking at the guys coming back next year coupled with our recruits coming in.

He would be my first choice. I'd make him say No before going onto a 2nd candidate.

not only no, but hell no. why would he come here? he doesn't love LSU, didn't go to school at LSU, and Baton Rouge isn't a destination to spend the rest of your life. he used LSU as a stepping stone in a career progression. you people need to let him go. the only time he ever thinks about LSU is during game week when he is preparing to play us.

Between this and the Fulmer thread, we should possibly close this board. The danger to the delicate smart/stupid balance of the universe is starting to get scary.

He was back in 2007 if Miles went to MI.
He was back in 2006 if Miles lost another game after FL.
He is highly unlikely to come back now.

No Saban & No Pelini. 2 scumbags, don't need either one.
