PP is a great player but Fuller ate his lunch all night. He was playing 7-10 yards off of Fuller almost all night.

I wonder if PP was already thinking about the next level and was worried about getting injured?

A & M sure went straight at him all night.

A&M has done that all season. It was amazing that LSU wasn't better prepared for those passes.

By God I think you're on to something. That's certainly what it looked like.

This topic hasn't been beaten to death yet?

Did you watch the game or did you watch the ball? PP was playing to scheme. The throws were all back shoulder throws, comebacks, or quick inside hits, all just great timing. None of them got YAC, so PP7 did his job. He didn't play "lights out" but he did his job and did it well.

Maybe the staff wanted to take the chance of a long pass out of the equation, but goodness gracious, he did not look good. He's looked average the entire second half of the season.

wouldnt surprise me. hes going to be a top 5 pick. in the scheme of things, this game didnt matter. he has been a really great tiger in his time here. sad to see him go, and wish him all the luck in the world at the next level and hope my texans trade up for him

He was in zone most of the time. The gameplan initially was not to give up the big play and that's why the Aggies were so successful at first.

But if you noticed, we tightened up the coverage in the second half and PP7 was more physical at the line. In fact Tannehill didn't try to throw in his direction in the second half.

No. Its obvious Chavis wasn't giving up the big play. Thats why all those catches against PP was comeback routes.

I don't care who you are. If the receiver runs a good route and the qb puts the ball in the white chalk so that only the receiver has a chance to catch it, its unstoppable. They were doing so on both sides, hence the int by Simon on the miscommunication.

aggie didn't think he was shut down corner. He is a little over rated. He doesn't play as hard as he should.

Exactly. Chalk it up to our last game against Arkansas when we should have been playing safe but took some chances, to our detriment.

People are going a little over the top with this, but I agree out of sync is a good description. The guy had some great footballs thrown to him. He had no yac, and didn't score.

Good point. Maybe PP was told not to give up the big play and just contain his man. I didn't think of that angle.

Appeared to me that the A&M receiver, Fuller, took him to school and made him look like a freshman. One on one, I have never thought he was that "overwhelming".

Good Lord we have an idiotic fan base! PP7 is one of the better players LSU has had in the past decade and yet we berate him? The guy carried the team on his shoulders most of the season what more do you want? There is a reason he is so highly recognized. The dude is amazing.

Also, PP never had over the top help so he just couldn't let him man get past him. A lot of the catches the guy made were nice throws and catches. PP was in good coverage on a lot of the catches the guy made.

I didn't see another thread on it. SIAP.

I mainly watched the TA&M band members twirling rags over their heads and Mike Sherman frowning.

That is what Fox mostly showed.....
