He is OBVIOUSLY cruising message boards on his laptop during the show.

Every now and then he'll be like "Here, just getting this from a source, but insiders at UM said once Harbaugh turned them down, the second step was to offer Miles"

As he clicks around

Truthfully though, his info is every bit as accurate as Joe Schaad's or any other ESPN "inside scoop".

KRYSAN is a retarded tool, no matter what happens, I'm ashamed that he represents La, in the least. He is getting a lot of calls from Michigan....sounding like a fricking dimwit. frick you Krysan.

Yeah, but they are running "Les Miles to be Head Coach at Michigan" graphics.

That is a flat out guess at this point, but they are selling it as being backed by sources.

That simply isn't true.

I don't live in BR but did in the mid-90s ... and I remember this guy on the radio back then, thought that he didn't sound like the brightest bulb in the pack. Are people there giving any credence to his very definitive reporting that Miles is gone, or dismissing it? A couple of things I noticed listening to the guy via the internet last night -- he got a couple of things wrong - first, in discussing the ESPN recruit oversigning report, he said it involved "a player from New Orleans and his parents; the player wound up going to Tennessee." I thought the player was Chris Garrett (from Miss.) who wound up going to Ole Miss? Also, he discussed Pelini staying at LSU to coach them in the Sugar Bowl ag. Notre Dame , before leaving for Neb. .... wrong again, he stayed to coach ag. Oh St in the NCG. Finally, I think Krysan or Rantz said something about Pelini being a good recruiter during the "Saban/Miles era" ... Pelini never coached at LSU under Saban. So, if those inaccuracies are any indication, perhaps the story is indeed bunk ?

I do say that I wrote Pelini never coached at LSU under Miles, but I meant to type "Saban." I'll fix that. But Krysan did say that Pelini coached at LSU under Saban.

The kid from new Orleans is porter..who ended up at Kentucky I believe... And I really was just fricking with you.. Kryson is a simply placing a bet... If he's right then he can use it to sell the show,, if he's wrong... People won't remember.

That's true, I forgot about Porter. But I thought the focus was more on Garrett? Yeah, re Krysan, probably a calculated risk on his part.

Here is the issue. You don't come out and report the story as fact. You don't report it as a "Pelican Broadcasting" exclusive breaking story. Miles may wind up at Michigan but a journalist doesn't take a calculated risk. Real simple, this is why these guys have to PAY to do a show on the radio because there is no way that any media outlet would PAY them to be on the airwaves. I feel bad for WJBO because they are a solid news station who simply airs the Pelican show in exchange for a check.

Well ... isn't it a stretch to call any of these guys (Krysan, Ott, Songy, etc.) "jounalists"? I doubt whether they consider themselves to be bound by the usual journalism ethics (then again, even so called legitimate journalists are many times no more than shills for particular political parties, but I digress.)

All I really care about is whether the report is accurate or not ... at the very least it seems to me, the issue is in doubt. The devil may be in the details and if this Miles to Michigan thing cannot be done quickly, it may not happen.

It's funny, because I saw Krysan out w/ Jumbo Rantz (another "journalist" w/ an over-inflated sense of self-importance) at Chimes East Thursday night huddled together at a table near the bar killing a few. They probably hatched this bit there.

These guys are 3rd rate sports hacks trying to make names for themselves in a college town. That's about all this stuff amounts to.
