Just heard on the radio that Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News is reporting that Stanford is prepared to announce today that Andrew Luck is staying in school. Haven't been able to confirm it.

ETA: Apparently Stanford sent out a release on it, so it sounds like it's confirmed.

"I am committed to earning my degree in architectural design from Stanford University and am on track to accomplish this at the completion of the spring quarter of 2012", Luck said in a statement.

Daddy already has that.

Maybe he saw Carolina would draft him and he said eff that

Although he risks going to Buffalo if he waits

Carolina is better than somewhere like Buffalo or Cleveland.

Is there ever going to be a great situation to go to at #1 overall?

Not like next year, there will be a better place to go at #1.

Lockout is likely playing a role in his decision too.

Although the next year the rookie salary might be very different.

Stanford is offering him $3 million a year. Miami is offering him $7-8 million a year. I still think he's gone even though Luck is staying.

He'll take out an insurance policy in case of injury and just get paid next year
