Already have the Decemberists. It's what you would expect. Solid release, but not mind blowing or anything.

I actully think Iron & Wine and The Decemberists are on first listen on NPR.
I'm not just crazy about either. But I can normally find a song or two off each cd to put on my iPod.

I'll have to check out what albums are being released this year and post the ones I'm looking forward to.

I'd probably give every one of those a listen. I wouldn't buy them, but I'd give them a shot. I used to love RHCP. Saw them front row in concert, they were great. But there past two albums were pretty bad.

New Decemberists album is very good at first listen. Very stripped down Americana folk. They definitely pull it off

Social Distortion will have a new album out this month or next. I've heard Machine Gun Blues and it's great. I can't wait to hear the rest of it.
