IF RR is fired, do you read something into silence from UM?

I really think that if they dont hire a coach by friday night, they want Les!! And they want to avoid what happen in 07... basically, if you hear nothing, that means something. Atleast that is my thoughts.
Everyone says they want Harbough, Miles, or Hoke. It looks as though all signs point to Jim going pro. Therefore, it would be between Hoke and Miles. One would assume that if they offer Hoke, he jumps all over it. So if they want him, go get him. Which brings me to my point. If they (UM)stay quiet all the way to friday night, that tells me they want someone besides Hoke, which would be Miles.
What are yalls thoughts if it does play out all the way to friday night?

I think you are spot-on with this belief. If the UM job "becomes available" tomorrow, (and is still open Saturday morning), then Miles is their man!

Since I'm not crazy about the timing of replacing Les right now and would prefer getting a new OC, not hearing anything until Friday would make me very nervous.

We are almost guaranteed it's not Harbaugh, if they wanted Hoke, why not take him back in November...they want a Meecheegan man, if they are floundering around until the weekend, I think we all know what will happen...if it is Miles and we get a "great" coach, it won't hurt recruiting

I am so on the fence with Miles staying here or not, that I dont know what I want. ....I want him to stay for recruiting for this year no doubt. But I also want our OC to go. And if he does not fire Crowton, than I think I want him gone as well. Also, no other coach jumps off the page to replace him. I think there are some good one's out there, but nobody that I am crazy pumped about. If nothing comes out by friday night, I will be nervous as well.
I also would hate to have to replace a coach this late either.

Hell yeah I do. I think their silence says more than anything they could say right now other than hiring Hoke and firing RR...

I'll have no hard feelings toward Miles if he leaves us. Sure, we'll take a hit in recruiting.. but I'm scared that Miles isn't going to fire Crowton

If we can get a coach who can recruit and is good at X's and O's our talent should take care of itself.

Agree 100%... If Crowton stays, then I don't care if miles goes.

agreed bmy... I just hate to lose frank Wilson, and Chavis. Hopefully, if it all does go down, the next coach will keep those 2. I just wish Crowton was gone... I dont want anything more.ha

If Crowton is held on then we should do Miles a favor, and "relocate" him like he does with his coaches.

But I am not worried about the recruiting class. Most are LA kids, and if we get a strong coach then the recruiting class should stay intact.
