I was shocked when I heard that. I don't put any stock in what Cowherd says. I'm assuming he said LSU will be top 3 next year to back up his prediction of Arky being great and beating OSU.

I wouldn't be at all surprised of we were ranked pretty high to start the year. Especially since it would add to the ESPN hype of the Oregon game.

Cowherd is worthless for information and his show is fluff with little substance, but he is probably not far off on this. LSU should be top five next year.

Alot of this will depend on Friday night. An impressive win and the QB'S look good then I say yes. A loss and looking bad doing it, and I say out of the top 10 for sure.

If JJ starts the season next year and get most of the snaps in the Oregon game, we don't be in the top three for long.

I'm hoping that Mett. can come it and win the job and just be an efficient, game manager that can move the chains. That's all we'll need to be good in 2011. The denfense will still be very good and possibly a top 15 defense at the very least.

Then don't listen. I like that he has an opinion. Don't always agree, but I like the research he does.

I don't think it is being butthurt... I also think he is very annoying. I decided a while back after listening to his crap for a while that his opinions mean nothing to me and it is a waste of time to listen to him

Disagreeing with someone and choosing to not listen to him =/= butthurt

Then you've never listened to Finebaum on XM. Cowherd at least makes sense most of the time. He's a bit of an agitator, but at least his positions come from substance.

Finebaum on the other hand is comical to listen to because he is DEFINITELY an agitator. He'll let a Barner run roughshod over Bama, then let a Bammer call in and talk trash about the Barners. All the while supporting who's ever on the phone at the time.

Cowherd speaks the truth, whether its liked or not.

ETA: Both are fun to listen to though, just take them in context.

If we don't get rid of Crowton, it doesn't matter. We'll score 24 points against Oregon and they'll scored 45 against us because we keep going 3 and out and we'll start the year 0-1 with a REALLY tough schedule ahead of us.

Crowton has to go.
