Yeah....we started playing in Saints Stadium in 2009. I went to a couple of games. It was pretty cool.

I think that drawing is older than this website.

I remember seeing it well before Katrina

the irony is that katrina may have saved the superdome...looks brand new now, but this would have been really cool...I wish I was old enough to have been to a game in Tulane Stadium

It's a real website, yes. But it's old and outdated.

Agreed. I was actually mentioning to my cousin this weekend that I wish I had been able to see a game in Tulane Stadium. But I do remember those 2 different concepts:

One in Algiers

and the other just outside the French Quarter that would have gotten rid of some of the projects. I wouldn't have minded this location.

i love the dome and never would WANT to play a SNAP anywhere else but if they stuck a new stadium in algiers or in the east they can go frick themselves. talk about a disaster

the only way the "take a boat across the river" thing would work is if they made a who dat cruise line or something that could transport 2000-3000 ppl at a time. i wouldn't wait on that clusterfrick that would become of the GNO on gamedays either

so if they built the stadium in algiers, the could go frick themselves? what does that even mean? do you stop being a fan? do you never go to a game? give up your tickets? root for the chargers?

i'm just curious as to what "they can go frick themselves" means to you. i'd personally watch em play in a parking lot.

it means they can go frick themselves for making such a crackheaded decision and they'd have one pissed OFF driveman

Went to many games in Tulane Stadium. Trust me, the Saints, and the fans, are better off in the Dome.

The plans were to put the stadium next tho the River on the EAST BANK not Algiers. Somewhere next to the convention center towards Uptown.

There was mention of that too, but one of the initial ideas was, indeed, Algiers. Blanco brought up the idea of the Saints building a new stadium that would tie in with expansion of the Morial Convention Center in an effort to save money.

Correct. Another idea was to locate the new stadium right across the boundary in Mississippi. Thankfully, all of these ideas failed to pan out and the Dome was renovated.
For another recollection of the Saints in Tulane, check this out:
