cause an unranked team should never be in a BCS bowl game

You should have to be top 20 IMO.

Play at least 6 BCS Schools and be in the top 16.

top 12. If your conference champion isn't ranked top 12 in the BCS, tough shite. If you fail to send a representative 2 years in a row because of this, you lose your AQ status altogether.

I agree with the criteria of being top 12, maybe 15 in the BCS but I would go a step further and say SOS has to be 50 or better. But I also support the movement of doing away with AQ's totally as well.

That's the point. BYU realized they were in a shitty conference and weren't getting into the Pac-12 or Big 12-2 so they went independent and will schedule whoever the hell they want to.

which SOS criteria would they use? Each computer uses something different

I think making a team be top12 would eliminate a lot of undeserving teams

So if a team like say KU loses all their ooc games next year but sweeps big XII they shouldn't be in BCS?

Well UConn won Big East so no reason to say they shouldn't be in BCS

They lost to Temple and Michigan. They aren't even ranked. Hell they didn't even outright win their conference. They won it via a teabreaker.

But you said they won it, doesn't matter how. They've earned the right.

Michigan State won their conference too. Do they deserve to be in a BCS bowl?

I think what most people in this thread is that they didn't win squat much less a right to play in one 5 top bowls.

Michigan St didn't win tie breaker, Wisconsin did. Michigan St might have been in BCS if the rule of only 2 teams from conference allowed in. Again UConn won the tie breaker. You can't change the rule in middle of game, they've earned the right to be in this game.

If that happens they'll more than likely be in the top 16 anyways.
