I know this guy. Could have gone to Med School, but wanted to follow in the footsteps of his family...and coach. Was a QB at NWLa...NSU. Loves the game. Should be a good hire.

This is just hearsay in the community, but a coach told me that he got crossways with some boosters and CBA told him to find a new job and they wouldn't fire him. Airline and Rayville were his only options and he chose Airline. Must be some powerful boosters.

Ironic, I played with him at Ruston High School and we were put out of the playoffs by Airline our senior year.

Thanks for posting this, I care. His father may have done a little coaching, but had a gym, and mother, a CPA. His grandfather is Joe Meeks who coached in Rayville, Bastrop, Ferriday (Huntington)which are private schools. Uncle Dickie Meeks has coached in La and Tx. Cousin a QB at NWLa. He is Dickie Joe Meeks. Quit football to play golf. The whole family is big in football, as well as baseball. I can imagine any of them having trouble with boosters that might try to run their programs.
