Well DT Mingo (FR) and Sam Montgomery (FR) blew most of you guys theory's about Freshman not playing much on the DEfensive tackle side.

Also Michael Brockers played quite a bit.

So much for waiting to you put on size and muscle to contribute.

Low Profile.

Didn't all three of these guys Redshirt their first year? If so the theory still holds. Few guys come straight from HS and start in the SEC on the OL/DL.

No offense, but I know its not as much about putting on size and muscle as it is playing against superior talent
Some DT/DE play against high schools where linemen weigh less then 220, and they dominate, some are lazy, and its harder to evalute lineman producing at the next level than other positions. If a kid runs a 4.4, he is fast on any level, but a Dlineman who pushes kids around at the high school level won't necessarily do it in college.
Thats why I was wondering if memphis or anyone had heard how Ego was ACTUALLY doing in practice, not just that he was a freshman 5* recruit who would obviously play alot, (that isn't necessarily a done deal ie Woods, Davenport)
Remember Jonathan Sullivan for the Saints?

You've dug your hole and there's probably no getting out of it.

Sullivan was a first round draft choice. He was a beast at Ga. He got his 12 mill and figured it was enough money and didn't play hard any longer.

WORK ETHIC, and once he try to stay in the NFL, he sucked, he could never turn it on, even when he wanted to.

I have no idea what the argument here is but neither of these guys played DT.

Defensive linemen are notoriously harder to evaluate then other positions, at any level,.....a huge part of that is work ethic.
6 foot plus 300 pounders can get lazy. Sullivan was an example, so are many other pros
I had heard that Ego came to LSU overweight and out of shape and it took him time to get it going. The question was did anyone know how he was looking, did he look like a stud or did he shine at all? Some freshman you can tell if they are going to be players or not, just wondering if anyone knew about Ego?

He passed the eye test for sure, he looked like he was in great shape in some pics from practices over the summer that were on tigerbait. I don't think the overweight or out of shape thing is the problem. The guys in front of him paid there dues and are just playing instead. Maybe next year he will get his chance.

People post their predictions on here 24/7, just wanted opinions.
Coaches, media, lots of people give predictions on how good players will be,.....didn't Chavis say to look out for Brockers? Dorsey said to look out for Nevis?
You are a moron, and very ugly,.....tell me how I am wrong? People make predictions

I think if you just stopped posting in your current threads defending yourself and just layed low for a minute and showed up with some reasonable input that'd be your best bet.

Well, for one, you are asking a question on the "recruiting board" about a player that is not currently being recruited by LSU, but rather is already on the LSU team.
