Correct me if I'm wrong but i think this was a bad game for scott shanle. I think I saw him in on one tackle. Danny Clark wasn't the hard hitter i thought he was either!

but shanle rarely has a good game

he's fine in the box against the run, but any 1 on 1 matchup in the open field, he loses. he loses every single time

I'm not calling Shanle out I'm just stating the obvious. He's a suitable player but he was out of position on a least three long runs and he was beat on the perfect pass by Flacco to Rice. Granted few linebackers could hang with rice in coverage.

OLB is a glaring need that has not been addressed for years on this defense. Danny Clark makes Shanle look like a pro bowler.

Clark didn't play bad. He was 2nd in tackles and he was making hits at the line of scrimmage

Shanle was terrible today.

I don't think there is an OLB in the league that defends that pass...just have to tip your hat

Shanle isn't any good but that TD to Rice was unstoppable

NoThis first bad performance but just another of many bad games for Shanlee. He is a liability on this defense as a starting outside linebacker. He was taken advantage of earlier in the season against Atlanta and again today against the Ravens.

Our defense needs to learn to tackle first and worry about the strip second. A lot of Rice yards today was due in fact that our defense wants to strip the ball instead of being physical and just bringing the ball carrier to the ground.

Shanle sucked it up this game as he has pretty much every other game this year. I miss Fujita.

Granted Shanle got owned but the D-line was absent for the most part as well. I've been high on Sedrick Ellis this year but he was a non factor today

Ray Rice had such a great desire to catch that pass, no way we'd stop that. No way to deflect it or not get burnt.

I'm struggling to come up with one. He was a liability we got away with last year, this year, not so much
