4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days is excellent. I think it was third best movie I saw in the aughts. The photography was indeed beautiful. Even the handheld would stop following its subject when it got too mobile. It reminded me of what Emmanuel Lubezki did in Y Tu Mama Tambien, which he calls "posed naturalism," combining the grit of guerrilla filmmaking with traditional compositions.
If you like that, I recommend The Class (available on Instant), which was the Palm d'Or winner the following year as 4 Months. Very different subject matter but an approach that is equally hands off and raw.
And for you sicko Serbian Film/Centipede fans, Fruit Chan's Dumplings was added to Instant. It's a better film with a good leading performance so you can get your nutriton too. About an out of work TV actress who uses a diet of dumplings with a super secret ingredient to appear younger.

As Far As My Feet Will Carry Me. German with subtitles
2003. German point of view on WWII in labor/prison camp of far Eastern Siberia (near Alaska). German Soldier escapes and walks 8000 miles over 3 years to get back to his family. Very good movie IMO.
ETA: Just checked and it is still there but you have to search for it.

Apologize if it was mentioned on here already, but "Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work" is a surprisingly very interesting documentary.

Not sure when it was added, but I just put "Gladiator" in my queue. Not the one with Crowe, but Cuba Gooding Jr....about some underground boxing.
I probably watched that movie 2 dozen times in my teen years (90's). I freakin' love it. The ending gets me pumped up.
But it has horrible reviews.

I enjoyed Trick r Treat.
It's a dark comedy/horror flick.

Night of The Demons. Absolutely horrible but hey, it was filmed in New Orleans. Nice to see the Dragon's Den in the movie as that was one of my favorite hangout. Gosh I miss New Orleans.

Just watched "Exam"
It's a British psychological thriller that I didn't see it in the list on the first page. Eight job candidates are locked in a windowless, guarded room and given 80 minutes to answer one seemingly impossible question. They are also given three specific rules not to break or else they are thrown out of the "interview." They can use any other means necessary to find the answer to the question. They soon discover it's not an ordinary test.
I didn't think it was outstanding, but I liked it and would recommend it.

Just watched I'm Still Here. I found it entertaining but I'm surprised Phoenix would be willing to do that. That was pretty risky stuff. The whole movie had an odd feel. Like you knew it was a joke, but they absolutely refused to admit it. They even reference the fact that people are accusing them of it being a hoax and go out of their way to deny it. I thought that was really unnecessary. Why try to shove it down your throat that it's real just to admit it's not eventually. His offensively bad raps and a few of the over the top scenes gave it away. Making people think it's real just kind of ruins the brilliance of it IMO. If you watch it realizing it's an act, you appreciate his acting and his ability to portray the mid life crisis. If you think it's real, I'd imagine you'd just think he was fricking weird and borderline despicable. Choosing the latter was an odd choice to me.

Again if anyone finds a money that is on the list is no longer offered instant, let me know so I can remove it.

I just started watching instant. I can't figure out any rhyme or reason as to why some things are instant and some aren't. I thought it was the age of the film but that's not it.

Netflix has to pay the studios for the rights to stream. They don't have to by male because of the first sale doctrine. Good article about it.
