Malzahn or Rich Rod are better choices.

Malzahn is going to have to go to Tulane or Houston before he gets an SEC gig imo.

In the SEC right now, Mark Richt is the only exception to the coaching at a lower level school rule, but I could see Malzhan going in the same direction. Hell, if they fire Richt, I could see them hiring Malzhan.

Wrong Mullen was never a HC before State, I am pretty sure Joker Phillips was never a HC before Kentucky.

Could very well happen. State is known for hiring controversial coaches ala Jackie Sherill. Having said that, I do like leach.

I agree. In fact, I think he's probably primed for a job better than MSU at this point. I don't think he needs the MSU stepping stone to get to a job that he really wants.

Leach has stated that one of his criteria for where he coaches is at a place where academics is one of the priorities.

Does that take care of the Miss St question?

Other than Vandy, that pretty much takes care of the SEC.

Did he say that before or after he was the coach at Texas Tech (Tier 3 school)?
