Funny stuff. That's exactly how they look at it too. I remember living in Dallas in the mid 90's, and I went to a Home Depot with my LSU cap on. An Aggie fan was ringing me up and said "too bad LSU cancelled the series with them because we were scared to play them." I just laughed at his four-eyed arse.

I hope we don't overlook them in this game, but with all the A&M buddies i have, and the fact that LSU is looked at as a elite sec program, i hope we beat the everliving snot out of a up and coming big 12 team. I think that they have some talent, young talent and I wouldn't be surprised if they did win, but I really hope we come to play in that one.
I noticed that they hung with Arky, was that before arky got hot or is A&M that solid...I mean our D should shut them out, this is gonna be an old school low scoring game

We hung with the hogs with our QB who was not playing well. He has since been benched and our RB & Wrecking Crew Defense are on fire!
I am looking forward to this game and the rivalry starting up again.

We hung pretty tight with Arky, and that was really before our O line and our two freshman tackles started coming of their own.
We lost really because of some sloppy play. Our then starting QB went 15/40 with 1 pick, 1 TD. We had 4 turnovers in the game, 3 within our own 40. A clean ball game would have gotten us the win, but we obliviously didn't have a clean game. the score was 21-14 at half, and we traded field goals in the second half to end up 24-17 final.
We had a chance to win, but it seemed every chance we had we slipped up or arky got a turnover. If we matched up again today with Arky I would take my bets on A&M winning

Not so fast! Ags have improved, but the Hogs have done so as well. Let me point to two areas where we have improved significantly that lead me to believe that the Hogs would not only win a rematch right now, but would win by a larger margin than back in October.
1. The emergence of a running game. Back in early October, the Hogs were still trying to run by committee. The OL was not gelling under new coach Chris Klenakis' schemes. Following the Auburn game, the OL started opening holes, and Knile Davis became a tip tier SEC back, going over 1,100 yards - even though he played sparingly in the first 4 games.
2. The continued improvement of our defense. As the season wore on, the defense has been able to keep some very good offenses in check. I think our d today is significantly better than they were in Dallas.
Seems like your current qb is a huge improvement, but I do not think it's enough to overcome the talent and coaching gap you have with us.
Since this is an LSU board, I will say that after being at both the LSU-AR and the eATMe-AR game, I have to say, LSU is the far superior team to eATMe. Though the victory margins are similar, I never once got the feeling that the ags were any threat to win that game in Dallas. We made lots of mental errors to keep the ags in the game. But I don't think we ever felt threatened. Against LSU, I wasn't comfortable until the clock hit zero. Every snap felt like do-or-die. Right now, I would predict a potential LSU - eATMe matchup to go something like 30 - 17 LSU.

We really lost because of some sloppy play. We had the score 14 14 with 6 seconds and allowed an 85 yard TD. Had the ball in good feild possession on every kick off and couldn't score. Recovered a fumble on their 9 and settle for a feild goal and settled to be down 20-19. We had them fourth and short and allow a 50 yard TD on bad coverage. We had the chance to score to make it a 3 point game and had a shitty snap.
If we were to play Arky again I like our chances
Cool story Aggie AG anybody can play your game of IFs...Tell it to Aggie or Arky fans cause we don't give a shite

Keep in mind, also, that LSU's baseball team knocked the '89 A&M team out of the playoffs. That Aggie team went 58-7, was ranked no. 1 almost the entire season, and may have been the most dominant team in the history of college baseball. The rivalry with LSU was intense across the board.
Still butthurt after 21 years.

they are legit, esp their defense. they are not as good as arky or auburn however. if we come to play, we will probably eke out a close one. if we don't, they will relish beating us.

The idea is to protect the wood from getting wet.

Larger margin? Cute thought.

Re the picture:
The windows couldn't support the plywood on the outside, so they boarded it up from the inside to protect the store.

So, basically you are saying the Texas A&M engineers who designed the building screwed up.

Thanks for digging up this old dirt. That's what rivalries are made of, lots of old dirt. Before all that happened and axing the last home and home series there was a nice rivalry between 2 schools with Agricultural beginnings. A lot has changed between the 2 schools. Most students don't realize A&M was an all Male student body not too long ago. If we play them in the Cotton Bowl I hope this could be the beginning of a new home and home series.
I also hope they end up joining the SEC soon.
