Made my day. I know there was nothing imminent on a Thursday night, but nice to hear from the admin that they aren't even going to entertain the idea.

That would be a disaster for anyone that has to work on a Thursday in BR. It would be like that weird Monday night game.

has verge explained the incredibly horrible home schedule in 2009 and the logic behind playing just 6 home games next season and crap for non-conference games ?

Shut up already. Bitch bitch bitch....
Only six home games next year because one of the home games is now a season opener in Dallas (at Jerry World) against a top opponent.

Bitching when we play no one, now bitching when a named OOC opponent is scheduled, geez.

I had heard a rumor a couple of moths ago that the Mississippi State game in Starkvegas next year could be moved to a Thursday night. Don't know if there is anything to that.

Now if he would just say that LSU considers it a health risk to play games that start before 6 PM until after November 1, and refuses to play any earlier.....

As opposed to 2010, when we played a season opener against a ranked (then) opponent at a neutral site, then played 7 games at Tiger Stadium.

Last time we did that we ended the year with the crystal ball. I have no issue with that.

That game was an Away game... We were the visitor.

I don't think it's a rumor. I'm pretty sure Miss State-LSU 2011 is in fact a Thursday night game on ESPN.

Semantics. It was away from Tiger Stadium. Or is your logic that it was an "away" game since we had 7 games at Tiger Stadium, whereas Oregon will be a "home" game, because we will only have 6 games at TS? That would be a tad circular.

It's not semantics. Even in neutral site games there is a home and visiting team declared. In the NC game we were the visitor(it was an away game) in the O game we are the home team(it will be a home game).

Jerry Jones wants to showcase his new toy, and apparently both LSU and Oregon are making more for this game than they would for a typical home game.

Jerry isn't writing LSU a $6 million check to play a regular season game ..
