I completely agree. They both need to go.

I don't think many people would disagree with that unless they have last names crowton or stud....but all teams have issues.....LSU has still performed better than all of the other elite teams this year despite their offense....how do you debate that? better than mack brown, better than urban meyer, better than nick saban...i mean these guys are gods, and have > talent than lsu or at least as much....so how do you explain lsu's success? Given they have a terrible head coach? I don't quite understand how they can have a terrible head coach, and terrible offense....and still finish the regular season ranked in the top 10 and 10-2 and with a shot to win their 11th game for the fourth time under miles in six years......

when is the last time we have dominated an opponent???

This is the exact attitude the OP is talking about

When was the last time an opponent dominated us? - the '08 season had a few but we corrected that in short order. If you lived through the '90s you really understand what being dominated by opponents is like.

I'll take my wins "cute" or dominant or however, just win - which this team has done for the last 6 years at an 80% rate. Just how good do we have to be to satisfy some folks. If you want your team to dominate opponents week in and week out then go follow a big 10 (or WAC or Mountain West) team and GTFO of anything to do with LSU and real competition in the SEC.

I guess if we eek by with a few close calls, maybe even lose a game we should win, but go to a BCS bowl or even the BCSCG (yes - could happen in the next few years if we get just a few issues corrected), you and people like you will still be complaining about how the team looked doing it.

Look at my other posts in this thread, I'm on your side. How did you not get that?

I was just agreeing with the correct assessment that Abe made.

OH....i get it now, now the number 1 stat is passing offense.....lmao......We have top five classes on some years yes, florida, texas, usc and bama have them every single year....where again did these teams finish the year? just curious......you are one stupid mf...you really are. The offense at lsu has not been good, but the performance of lsu over the past six years, in terms of winning, has never been better at lsu....including this year.........get a life dude...you are probably unemployeed and blame everyone else for your failures....

Miles has done a pretty good job. He is very close to another NC. That is why crowton and stud must go. chances don't last forever. you have to take advantage while the fire is hot.

I am not a kid....I am 54 years old and have been closely following LSU since I was a kid. I get the argument that there were lean years previously, but that comparison is for sunshine pumpers who need something to diffuse the arguments of realistic fans who know this team, at least the offense, underperformed this year. But for 3 plays: the last play of the NC game, the second chance we got with Tennessee and the fortunate bounce on the fake field goal against Florida, this team could be 7-5 instead of 10-2. While I am thankful for 10-2 and was beginning to lighten up on Miles prior to the Arkansas game, the team's performance this past weekend reaffirmed my belief that at the end of each season, we will likely be second or third in the west as long as Miles is the coach. For whatever reason, his teams are unable to consistently improve and move forward. I get that he's a nice guy and a great recruiter, but what's the point of having great talent if they are underutilized and not developed to their full potential?

It seems that in order to be a "happy" Tiger fan anymore, one has to lower expectations of what "could be". I haven't been able to do that yet.

That's not true, by the by. Ole Miss had the number 15 class last year according to scout, and is currently 24. Arkansas was 35 last year 20 the year before, and is currently 8th. Terrible teams right there, no doubt!

You are a loser if you accept being the 90 or 100 worst offense in the nation every year!

few understand this. The most lsu has trailed in the last 27 games has been 11 points, and that was this past saturday....i mean the absolute most they have trailed by is 11 points....that is pretty darn amazing.....there are very few teams that play in decent conferences that can claim that......if any.

You have got to understand i guess, you are dealing with kids who really have very little clue as of yet, and will be several years before they do.....for most of them, or you are dealing primarily with uneducated older people who are negative in life.

I for one understand lsu's offense needs to get better.....i also understand it happens that qb's don't always work out. Look at the florida qb? he was one of the higest rated qb's in the nation....how did that pan out? look at texas? same situation.....look at all the busts for qb tenn has had and auburn through the years that has kept them from being really good. LSU is not the only school with this issue....and what they have been able to accomplish despite the qb issues has been amazing over the past two years....miles has done a hell of a job dealing with what he has at qb.........hopefully we get met and that helps us out......and for those of you who think met won't play if he is better....watch.....miles has forgotten more about football than you guys have ever known....look a jai euguene.....yeah, he never benches a sr in favor of a younger player...lol

If you follow this dumb logic, Auburn would be 7-5 also.....with losses to Bama, LSU, Clemson, Kentucky, Miss State, USC...take your pick of those six.....

this is about production. If you can't produce then you need to go. Crowton and Stud have not produced.

your post wreaks of a 54 year old underachiever who has very little common sense and makes ends meet paycheck to paycheck. You certainly don't have a big picture thought in your mind. WOW.

LSU could be 12-0 with a break in the auburn game and the arkansas game.....if, if , if....alabama wouldn't have been nc in 2009 IF tenn had a decent kicker, or if not for lucky breaks against auburn and lsu......

blaming miles for 10-2 says more about you than anything possible. In one sentence you make a statement about lsu having a terrible offense....they do....they you blame miles for not being able to get the job done (which he has more than once in six years)...

this was probably the best coaching job miles has ever done at lsu, bar none. He certainly outcoached urban meyer and nick saban in the same year...and finished ahead of both programs, who incidentally are the two premier programs in the league right? according to you guys....

BUT, even if that wasn't bad enough....you had to keep going and talk about the teams of miles not improving...lol.......2008=8-5, 2009=9-4, 2010=10-2, and possibly 11-2.

Miles has a chance to join only four other coaches in the HISTORY of the SEC that have won 11 games four different times.......only FOUR coaches in the HISTORY of the SEC...not lsu, but the entire SEC....

WOW dude.....just wow.

61-7.....four 11 win seasons in six years? four top 10 finishes in six years? becoming one of only five coaches to ever win 11 games in the SEC on four different occassions? 4-1 in bowl games and working on 5-1....2-0 on bcs games.....how's that for production?

A 10-2 record is, and IDGAF how they get ten wins either. LSU had the offense to win down the stretch against a lot of good teams, and the D and special teams play to make it happen.

Oh, and BTW close games against a ton of bowl-eligible teams are more interesting than a TCU-style schedule of patsies where you can pad your stats.

If offense is what you care about, go to the WAC.

I agree completely with the OP but our offense has been something we've had to win games in spite of. And a lot of that falls on the QB's. But when you go three years sucking as bad as this offense has, it's not unreasonable to make some changes. Because it's not working.

If Les says keep them, I'm going to trust Les. But I'd really like to see Crowton and crew fade into the sunset.

I'd like to see them go too...I'm not satisfied with that offense for sure. I'm just saying what this team has accomplished despite that poor offense is phenomenal in all honesty. This has been the best coaching year in the tenure of miles imo.....to win 11 games in four years would be unreal.....i think lsu has had maybe three seasons in their history with as many or more wins that that.
