It would be shocking if LSU is not considered the favorites to win the SEC in 2011.

So we lose our top 3 players on defense along with our best 2 special teamers and return the QB that led us to the 84th ranked offense, and that says "SEC favorites" to you?

But no doubt, if we're watching two other teams in Atlanta come December, the Les faithful will be here telling us to be satisfied and wait until next year.

Prepare to be shocked. Alabama and if Cam stays for his senior season Auburn will be picked ahead of LSU. Mississippi State is trending up and not sure how Arkansas will be perceived after loosing Mallett. LSU will be picked pre-season 3 or 4 next year.

Fail.

First, in the same time span there's 116 other FBS HC's who have 0 BCS championship rings and would love to be in Les Mile's shoes.

Second, since 2006 Urban Meyers is the only SEC coach with more BCS Bowl appearances (3) than Miles (2). Further, LSU has won every BCS bowl game played under Miles; LSU is the only team in the nation to win every BCS game in which it played.

Third, except for 2008 (when ranked #11) LSU is consistently one of the top 10 recruiting teams in the nation under Miles.

Finally, since 2006 Les Miles has put more players into the NFL than any other SEC coach.

LSU has more players returning next season than any other SEC West team and I fully expect will be picked to win the SEC West Div, if not the SEC.
