I think Peterson is hands down the best corner to ever play at LSU, but we have some damn good youngsters in the secondary. They will not be as good as Peterson but I feel comfortable saying that Mathieu and Claiborne will be better than Francois and Minter (or Barrow). Same with Brockers/Edwards/Johnson replacing Nevis in the middle.

The question about who is tougher to replace probably has more to do with the back-ups in question rather than the actual star, with the exception of guys like Tebow who just dominate so much of the team with their playing style.

we'll see how those guys do next year.

I love Claiborne, he has played great opposite of Peterson. Im anxious to see if he can keep it up as our #1 guy.

I think Minter can be as good a Shep, or at least close to it. Ryan Baker has been one of our better defenders this year as well.

Our DL has been pretty average, esp after Montgomery went down. Nevis has been the lone guy to get pressure on the QB. Mathieu has probably been our 2nd best pass rusher.
