What if LSU went 13-0, but needed a last second dumbass miracle on every single game - including ULM and the like? Sure, you'd be happy with the MNC, but would you really argue that the coach was good?

even at 10-2 can you say he is bad!!!!

I was never a huge fan of crowton... I would like to see him go .... But I think Miles should stay!

Yes because good coaches find a way to win especially close games. Luck is undefinable. A good coach would have his team in a position to win in the last second.

I think process absolutely matters to anyone interested in consistent, long-term results. People here focus too much on short term outcomes. Winning ten games this year and thus extending Miles' tenure will likely be bad for LSU in the long run.

would you call it luck vs Tenn when they had 13 players on the field and Les Miles had his head up his arse?

or is that just good coaching?

We did a better job of finishing games than we did a year ago.

I can guarantee you that we would have not finished certain games this year with last year's team.

his point is that he is intellectually superior to everyone that thinks Miles is a decent coach...

a great coach would have his team in position to crush inferior teams rather than rely week in and week out on lucky or fluke plays. the hypo in the OP is stupid, it doesn't happen, but process does matter at some point.

That was horrible coaching, but Dooley is young and he won't make that mistake again. But I forget. Which team WON?

how many games has Les won on lucky or fluke plays in his tenure...compare that to other top 25 coaches

would you call it luck that against FL in the Swamp, that our holder tosses an irregular shaped ball on a fake field goal that just so happens to bounce straight up into the kickers stomach.....Good coaching? Or luck?

Wouldn't you say that consistantly putting your team in a position to win in the last minutes of a game is pretty good coaching?
