Now the ESPN analyst's aren't going to like this but here are the facts. TCU is #3 at .900. Boise is #4 at .886. LSU is #5 at .819. Arkansas is #12 at .570. Nevada is #18 at .294. On the BCS Countdown show, the ESPN analyst pretty much agreed that Boise would jump TCU by beating #18 Nevada. I agree. But if LSU beats #12 Arkansas who has a .570 rating which is almost twice as high as Nevada at .294 then it only stands to reason that LSU could and should move up couple 100 points to overtake both Boise and TCU. Naturally ESPN did not mention that scenario because they for some reason don't like to recognize LSU. But I think the BCS computers will definitely recognize the strenght of schedule of LSU and the corresponding BCS ratings of each respective team.

Now beating Arkansas is not going to be easy but if LSU does do it and they better and LSU is going to, then, thats the way I see the BCS numbers crunching out. Very interesting.

If that happens, the voters will just vote LSU lower.

Your reasoning has no real factual ground in the BCS. Sorry bud. LSU is about as far as the computers will take them. It is up to the humans, and the humans are not on our side.

TCU will go down in the computers with a win over #100 or so New Mexico. I doubt it'll be enough for LSU to jump them though, considering the discrepancy in the human polls.

But in the OTHER thread you started you said LSU would be unstopable against ARKIE!!!!

You give the rant even more of a new meaning.

Perhaps a road win over #12 Arkansas may influence some voters that we are worthy of a #5 or higher ranking.

Unfortunately, the BCS show does not do anything to actually show the schedule, or SOS, of those 1-loss teams. Ours would hold up pretty well against all of them.

If that is possible ,would Auburn drop below LSU with a loss? Idon't think they would stay at number 2.

If LSU can beat Arkansas without needing magic or divine intervention, LSU will jump TCU imo.

Boise will stay ahead of us though.

All I will say is lookout for Black Friday Voodoo because somebody is going to lose and open the door for the Tigers on Saturday.

I'm glad we are underdogs against Arkansas. Our Defense has nothing but motivation for Saturday.

1. Played terrible against Arkansas
2. Underdogs to Arkansas.
3. The Boot
4. The BCS
5. The coach LM, the one the media likes to criticize

LSU could go to #3 in BCS with win over Arkansas.

yep.

I think its LIKELY. 1. Friday, Bama beats Aubie. 2. LSU beats Ark.
3. Boise struggles vs Nevada-Reno. Maybe a snow game, in Reno.

presto, LSU = #3.

I dont think Oregon State Beavers can beat the Ducks, because Oregon State is missing one of their two best players.
I guess miracles happen. sleet, rain and snow might help.

Anyway, a move up to #3 is not all that unlikely, although its just as likely that LSU loses to Ark and makes a berth in the Cotton bowl a reality.

We're already ahead of them and we play @ #13 Arkansas while they host a 7-4 Northwestern team that just got blown out by Zook & Illinois.

How do you figure they jump us?

We are not ahead of them in the human polls. We are ahead of them in the BCS.

LSU 41
Boise 68
TCU 72

Our strength of schedule started out the highest compared to the Big Ten co-leaders. But its been deflated by the UNC mess (they were #15 to open), and WV losing a couple more, and Ole Miss losing to J ville.

What's your point? We only care abou tth ehuman polls in so far as they impact the BCS. As he said. We already lead Wisconsin in the BCS. If we beat #12, there is no way we should drop.

Irregardless, assuming both teams win, I think any "human" with common sense can say LSU's victory over Arkansas was more impressive than Wisconsin's.
