I also thought he had a chance to score against Alabama on that 4th down reverse and took the easy way out of bounds instead of putting his nose down and driving for the end zone.

Very much agree. He was hurt earlier in the season so maybe he is thinking about that too much.

I'll give him a pass on that, he said that he didn't want to risk fumbling it into the endzone and would let Ridley finish the job.

Okay, I'll give him a mulligan for that play in that situation. He did not dive because he did not want to take a chance of fumbling out the back of the end zone.

Stepping out of bounds at the one was prudent.
