1977 and LSU ran back 3 Punts for TD's. Tommy Casanova 2 and Craig Burns 1. Is that the only time that LSU has ran back 3 Punts in a Game for TD's???

Tommy was tearing it up for the Bengals in 1977.

I think it was 1970.
Archie Who? beat us the two previous years by three or four points each game. He was out for six or seven games with a broken arm and played with a soft cast for the last game of the season.

1970
That's also the game when Archie played with a cast on his left arm, after having it broken against Houston a few weeks earlier.

I was young (9)but I remember that game, it was on TV, and they played that "Archie Who" song.

Its cool, Bud. Actually, the 1977 game was in away almost as much of a heartbreaker for the Yogi Bears. Ole Miss roared out to a 21-0 lead in Jackson and LSU came back and won 28-21.
Yeah, Tigers had like a 10 roadgame losing streak or something that was broken! ELP rocked Pete's Palace that night (think it was Halloween) and was a party for sure!

Actually it was Bill Fleming who did the play-by-play. Chris Schenkel and Bud Wilkinson did the Texas-Arkansas game earlier that afternoon (which Texas won 42-7).

In other words, the game this weekend marks the 40th anniversary of a complete and total beatdown of the Mississippi Rebel Black Bears...I thnk that should be acknowledged by the LSU PA announcer before the game.
