Trying not to be bitter but I am coming back to BR for the Ole Miss game. I'm taking my father, father-in-law, and bro-in-law to their first game in Death Valley. Chose this game for two reasons: 1. figured I couldn't find tix to bama wiithout it costing me my first born kid, and more importantly 2. Figured with Ole Piss struggling this year CBS would not pick the game up. Blows, I guess I am bitter.

You said it right there...CBS happened.

Glad I don't have to listen to Verne but the media breaks will turn this game into at least 4 hours, minimum. fricking hate CBS.

yeah I understand CBS provides us with National Coverage which is good for recruiting, but I find it hard to believe that this is the best SEC matchup this week...how bout Arky at Miss. State??

CBS Hates LSU

They know the more we play in the day time, the less chance we have of winning

somehow I doubt CBS picks our games so we will lose. Im not an expert but im assuming they do it for their own ratings. But I do hate day games.

You should have come to Bama. Tickets were all over the place for face value. I'll never understand the people paying over it for any game.

We became relevant again.

This is a tired old subject.

We can have night games again if we become also rans.

CBS pats big bucks for it's "Saturday Tradition" and it takes the games involving the TOP teams. We can go back to nights when we are NOT a TOP team.

So bring back Dinardo and the "magic" of night games and bring back mediocrity or worse.

Back in the old days when I had Season Tickets I would have liked games starting at 2:30 or 3 PM. I use to drive from New Orleans for every home game and sometimes in those days the games would not start until 7:30 and sometimes 8 PM which put getting home very late at night!!!

LSU's position in the BCS standng is why it's a day game; that and our always colorful coach. LSU has had more publicity this year because of the way we've won and Les' grazing habits than we've had in some time. As long as we're in the Top 10, you can pretty much bet that CBS will put us in a prime daytime spot.

But I think they are thinking UPSET!

Even if CBS ever loses the contract, I don't see the 2:30 CT time slot going away.

Correct. The 2:30 time slot gets more viewers than any night time slot.

I believe the Saturday night LSU tradition started so they could fill the stands with blue collar workers, laborers who worked on Saturdays. Playing @ 2:30 is a travesty...money >>>> fans.

Those are reserved for OOC rent a win games now that LSU is in the Top 10. These games are basically a party all day, show up and check out the Tigers in the stadium for about 30 minutes on your way home.
