Does anyone know if they will release these dvds separately since it's a 2-part film? I've been wondering how they are gonna release them.

They'll release them one at a time, then together. Then they'll do a package for all 8. They're going to do it in such a way as to milk as much money from the fans as possible.

i already have the first 6 n bluray so i wont be buying a 8 pack.....unless they offer something realllly cool

Yeah I have them all on dvd and I bought the Blu-ray combo pack thing that came out no too long ago. All of them are the theatrical releases though, I'm still waiting on the extended versions to come out on blu-ray.

i have the extended DVD's...thats my favorite version, i wasnt gonna buy the theatrical bluray...but wife bought it for me anyway

Don't forget the partnering of the DVDs and the books...if they can legally do that.

I'm really angry that for the "Ultimate Edition" DVDs they don't have Director or Cast Commentary.
