If Cam is ruled ineligible, do pollsters see LSU as undefeated?

LSU has the #5 toughest schedule in the country and should be 9-1 after this weekend. Do the pollsters take into account that our only loss was by 7 at home to a team with a now ineligible player if indeed Cam has to sit?

Could we jump into the top 2 even with the one loss? How do you think the polls will see this IF Cam is ruled ineligible and Auburn has to vacate wins?

Huh? LSU has one loss. I'm talking about this next week. Do the pollsters treat that loss differently when they rank teams?

But we lost to Tennessee before we beat them. So that still counts as a loss in some peoples eyes.

Even if he is ruled ineligible, the fact that the game has already been played and we lost MAY still weigh heavily on the minds of the voters, keeping us behind the "Non-AQ" teams that have won every game they played.

I doubt it.
They so far up TCU's arse right now.

No.

It changes nothing.

Only hope is that Cam doesn't play and Auburn collapses and loses the next 2 games, we win out (convincingly in all....especially Arky), and we go to and win the SECCG.

Other than that, hope we win out and get an at large BCS bid (which I think we would).

How about Brian Kenny said on ESPN 2 hours ago..."if Newton is guilty then TCU and Boise has a good chance at the NC....sorry LSU".

WTF!!!!!!???? who are these fricking people??? LSU's schedule is the 5th hardest right under Auburn at #2 and Arky at #3 while Oregon's, Boise's, and TCU's schedules aren't even in the fricking top 50!!!! This shite is BANANAS

It was said that a one loss Alabama could jump the undefeated non-AQs. If so, then LSU's loss should be seen as a half-loss or at least as favorably as Alabama's 14 pt. loss to S. Carolina.

I think you could make a case for this, similar to Les' "only team to not lose in regulation" statement in 2007.

The black eye that this fiasco will give the SEC will all but make it impossible for LSU to get a shot at the BCSNC.

You're right. They are doing the same thin in the Pac-10 with USC.

Signed,

2010 #1 Ranked Oregon Ducks.

As the season continues people have to start looking at quality wins and SOS. Unless they simply want to hand the BCSCG to TCU or Oregon. How many teams have TCU, Bosie, and Oregon played that have a winning record?

What will be interesting is how the computers would treat the situation.

I have doubts that the the coaches poll would put both TCU and the Boise State in the BCSNG, if there is a one-loss team from BCS conference. I would think that the coaches would want the game to have some credibility, and TCU v. Boise State would not. I don't think the coaches are so keen to destroy the BCS's credibility (although I know there are some who don't like the system). It might happen, but it seems more like something the pot-stirrers in the sports press are more interested in than the coaches themselves.

All the talk about a one-loss Bama was made after Bama's one loss while they still had one loss. A "one-loss" Bama at the end of the season would have beaten LSU and Auburn necessarily. That having been said, any one loss SEC team would probably jump Boise (as long as the one loss wasn't by Auburn in the SECCG) but as the human pollsters are TCU-gay jumping the frogs would be a coin toss.

I don't think Fox(correct me if I'm wrong) would be too keen about a TCU-Boise St. BCSCG either.

Also, IF this goes down and the Auburn loss gets dropped, and we win out(SECCG included), there's no way in hell an undefeated SEC champ gets left out of the title game. IMO, the SEC champ should be automatically in the title game until someone can beat them.

A lot of people are saying this. I don't see how it hurts the conference.
