I'm with you on this. While Oregon has beaten teams like a drum - these are not good teams...just Boise St. and TCU have played weaker schedules. Now - if LSU's entire schedule was made up of weaker teams - don't you think we would have a game plan to put them away similar to what Oregon has done? Come on people - when we play the lower rund teams - we come out with the most basic stuff we can because we play a ton of very good teams. I just don't understand how pollsters can even compare a TCU/ Boise St./ Oregon with an Auburn or LSU for that matter.

Combined Opponents' Records For Top 5 BCS:
Oregon: 48-60
Auburn: 67-43
TCU: 52-59
Boise St.: 53-55
LSU: 66-42

This isn't even close in comparison - NOT CLOSE. Oregon's best wins - Stanford (good) USC (Avg. at best). TCU - Baylor (above avg) Utah (Come on - who has Utah beaten) - Boice St. - Virginia Tech (lost to James Madison - end of discussion) and Hawaii (below avg.) - that is it? That's what the pollsters are basing top 5 rankings on this year? Auburn has beaten - Miss. St., South Carolina, Ark and LSU...while LSU has beaten North Carolina, West Virginia, Miss. St, Florida and Bama.

I really think this guy is on to something: LINK

Granted that Andrew Luck is the best pro style QB in the nation but this comment is freaking retarted, are you kidding me?

PeeJ - I've tried with you. I really, really have. It's obvious we don't even speak the same language.

Goodbye.

No, actually I don't. It is nice to believe that to make yourself feel better though.

Half of the SEC would be undefeated against these juggernauts - New Mexico, Tenn, Portland St., Arizona St., Wash St, UCLA, Wash, Cal,Oregon St. The weak Oregon schedule is certianly not something you can argue...look at the records: 48-60. NOT GOOD. If LSU Played terrible teams every week - yes - we would blow many out just like Oregon.

It's all about the level of competition.
I used to smoke my older brother and dad in ping pong at home. I was the best, the champ.
Then I played my college roomate (he played table tennis). I could not score a point on him.

I know lsu fan is all excited over beating little nick but lets be real. LSU could not solve AU's offense. The Ducks would light up LSU like a pin ball machine. LSU gives away to many offensive seris to keep up. LSU probably throws away 5 to 6 possesions a game with this retarded qb rotation and conservative pla calling. While LSU is doing that the Ducks are scoring.

But, do you think Oregon would be undefeated if they were playing an SEC schedule this year?

That's the real question.

Stanford is a disciplined, hard nosed team with a top pro-style QB. LSU might would win, but it would be a hard fought game, similar to playing Bama.

Your argument pisses me off! You have the opinion that UO would run all over LSU

I think they would. They score in bunches.

and it seems to be based on the fact that Cam Newton seemed unstoppable against the Tigers.

He pretty much was.

quote:

Your opinion that Stanford is equal to LSU is flamitory, as well

WHY???

quote:

My belief is that LSU defense did not blitz against Newton because his passing numbers were so good against the blitz before that game. Personally, I feel like LSU should have called a few blitzes in the second half, but that's just my opinion

Luck has some great #'s as well.

quote:

but that's just my opinion

Doesn't mean its right.

quote:

UO has not faced a defense anywhere near as good as LSUs, nor has Stanford

I will agree here. BUT LSU has not faced an OFFENSE as good as Oregon's. But go ahead.

quote:

This Tiger offense is developing, and it has plenty of depth

Based o ONE half against Bama???????? WOW!!!!

quote:

No way Stanford has that depth. They were the dregs of the Pac 10 just a couple of years back.

Are they now????

quote:

Stanford, my arse! LSU would give UO all they wanted, and more

I would hope LSAU would beat a OREGON or Stanford. BUT.............

Actually, I do believe that they would be undefeated. I certainly think that they would have much closer games, but I do think they would be undefeated.

Auburn is undefeated, and I think Oregon would beat them.
