Remember the big argument about Georgia not winning the conference in '07 so they didn't deserve to get to the MNC game. I have a good feeling all you purple and gold glasses wearing fools with change your tone if a miracle happens and LSU gets put in that same spot. Let the "this is different" comments begin.......

IT IS F'ING DIFFERENT.

There was ZERO argument for putting UGA in over LSU. LSU had a better record, tougher schedule, better wins, better losses, and the SEC championship was just an extra.

Idiot.

This is different. There is an entire BCS thread stickied at the top of this board wherein many posters have been discussing this very scenario. You're obviously incapable of comprehending why this is different. Go read that thread, try to understand why this is different, THEN you can start threads about it. Otherwise.. go away.

How about explaining how it's not different? Or were you just looking to flame?

Give me one objective reason UGA should have gone. ONE.

I gave mine:

1. LSU had a better record
2. LSU had a much tougher schedule
3. LSU never lost to a 6 -loss team
4. LSU had a higher MOV
5. LSU had more impressive wins
6. LSU was higher in the computers

I don't even have to mention the SEC Championship

Yessssss! It only took 3 posts. LS-losers. What's bad is I graduated from there, wife lettered and graduated from there, and I own season tickets for football but I just have grown to loathe LSU fans and have decided to use this moment to publicly say so. That is all.

I am still waiting for the one objective reason UGA should have gone over LSU. If you put the two head to head in any reasonable category for determining who plays for a NC...LSU gets it every time.

And no one is arguing that LSU should go over say a 1-loss SEC Champ AU. NO ONE.

Really? Let AU lose to Georgia and win out and see if that statement holds true.

Still waiting for a good reason UGA should have gone over LSU. Was it their worse record, easier schedule, loss to a mediocre South Carolina team, lack of great wins?

In general, the presumption should be that a team that doesn't win its conference should not be in the BCSCG, however, one can easily create scenarios where the presumption should be overcome, as when a one loss team doesn't make the conference championship and the winner of the conference has 2 losses. I thought that in 2007 and I still think that. But the difference is that in 2007, LSU had the best over all body of work, and had more wins over ranked teams that UGA did. UGA was playing well at the end of the season, but LSU had played more ranked teams than UGA, including a defeat of the ACC conference champion. UGA could not overcome the presumption that LSU as conference champion should go to the championship over UGA who didn't win its division and because UGA did not have a strong a schedule and nor number of wins over ranked teams that LSU had. It is really pretty simple.
