we don't need a playoff, let's have a bowl system and computers voting

WM num 4?
Yeah...why is this a surprise? Dutchtown, St Paul and St Thomas More are all 10-0. What put them over WM is that they played teams with better collective records than WM. The large district that WM is in definitely has hurt them with regards to power rankings in recent history.

Well, that's what's on my bracket.
Most intriguing game of week one...assuming my brackets are correct....

Anyone have any info on Westgate? It looks like my alma mater will draw them in the first round.

They've been to the semi finals twice in the past three seasons...they always turn it on in the playoffs, lots of talent there.

They started the season 4-1 before losing 3 straight district games. They had week 10 off so the team will definitely be rested. But, like the previous poster said, they seem to be able to "turn it up a notch" come playoff time.

I have ESJ vs. West Monroe in finals of 5a based on that bracket.
Picked a few upsets.

Wouldn't be surprised if ESJ blew them out.

Acadiana had major problems with STM passing attack just wait til they have to deal with ESJ. I do think Acadiana is good, I just think ESJ is the 2nd best team in the state after west Monroe.

Ouachita will be in the final four.

ESJ can throw the ball but what makes this ESJ team different than others is the new coach (the last 2 weeks) has moved some of his better players to defense. Dautrieve thought he could outscore everyone, Barrilleaux knows you need some stops. ESJ held a good Hahnville running game pretty well Friday but the big difference in the game was that ESJ ran back to interceptions for touchdowns.

I can definitely see Central making it to the quarters. They lost to St Paul earlier in the season by a point. However, I think ESJ is the real deal this season.
