Heard from a sports reporter a that he likely would be picked up next year...

In the recent history of NFL, how many players have been released,(not due to injury), sat out the season, and then made an NFL team the following season?? Any?

Yeah I can only think of Ricky Williams unless you're including a break as in jail time (Mike Vick)

Wow. Are you serious? You must not follow the NFL. It happens all the time.

The Saints picked up John Carney last year. He had been out for a while.

We picked up Mike McKenzie during the season. He had been sitting home waiting for a phone call.

JR probably would've been picked up if not for the purple drank accusations.

He would be valuable as a 2nd string guy with starting potential.

I remember hearing a story about him getting picked up after he was cut by the Jets. He said that his only exercise since he had been cut by the team was him mowing his lawn. Anyone else remember this?

Literally happens like 50 times every season

Just that typically guys who are bouncing in and out are not household names, or former no 1 picks

Jeff George had jumped from team to team during the end of his career. he sat out and came back a couple of times.

Jamarcus Russell will be an All Pro when he makes his return to the NFL because he will suddenly know how to read defenses.
