Anybody have any suggestions on cover scents? I have used a few different kinds over the years (hunting in a bottom I used acorn cover scents). Just wondering what the most effective ones were.

If you can tolerate it, coon piss works well.

I use the scent-a-way acorn spray and hunt the wind. I have had several encounters in which I thought I was going to get busted and didn't. I may have just gotten lucky all these times and it may be hunting the wind too but it makes me feel better and I'm going to keep using it.

Don't know if any of you ever took a chemistry lab but I always wondered if this would work. I wanted to take some cedea (wax myrtle) leaves and boil them down and condense the vapors into a concentrate. Seems like it would work but don't have access to lab equipment. i would think you could do the same with pine needles. Put that condensate in a spray bottle and you should be good to go I would think.
