If the Crown Black is the one I'm thinking of its like close to $100 a bottle? One of my friends brought it to a party last year and we were just taking pulls out of the bottle and no one winced or anything, its real smooth.

I think that would be the Crown Reserve. I saw the Crown Royal Black in the store the other day and it was only $26.99. Just didn't much about it. Was thinking about giving it a try.

Jim Beam Black is about $40/half gallon. If you like Kentucky bourbon, you would certainly prefer it over Crown anything.

Over-rated.....bought some and I would say there are several others out there that are better quality.

i don't think reserve is near that much either. the XR is 100+
too me the black just has a stronger taste. has a little bite unlike the regular.

CR Black is not that good. I didnt like it at ALL. I think regular crown is better!

XR is around 120.
Cask 16 is about 100.
