They probably increased, but I'll avoid using logic on the rant.
I know that shite isn't welcomed here.

They usually don't get contributions during the season for season ticket rights, etc.
Ask someone in the TAF next summer if you want a good answer.

You laugh, but I would guess he's right. While I am sure many donors, same as with most fans, are frustrated with some of the things going on with the program, I'd be willing to bet donations are not down. Most of the biggest donors have been around long enough to know and appreciate that having a top 20 team that is competing for titles, playing in January Bowl games, and pulling in top recruiting classes isn't just a given.
To put it in perspective, I've had season tickets long enough to remember a time when I couldn't give the damn things away. That hasn't been the case since Saban turned the program around.

I know folks that donate huge sums, they probably don't even know we have a bye week.
They just absolutely love the university. I think your post has a lot of truth in how some of the big money folks feel.

Not to be too picky, but it was DiNardo that turned it around. Saban did his part no doubt.

I'll concede your point (knew someone would make it soon as I hit the "submit" button) and even agree with it to some extent, but it was also during DiNardo's tenure that I couldn't give away tickets.

His first year was pretty exciting and I am guessing that tickets were at a premium, but as his stubborness set in and the effects became evident, tickets got easier to get again. His victory over Saban bought him some little bit of love.

Anyone who thinks donations aren't down is crazy.

Well, overall donations may be down but I'd guess that's more a reflection of the state of the economy rather than the state of the program. What were season ticket sales this year? Sold out as I recall. All of those people paid a minimum of either tradition fund or TAF donations to get those tickets so those donations sure weren't down.

I have heard from multiple sources in the TAF that they have dropped by more then 35%. They want Les out of there just as bad as anyone else does.

taf is small potatoes compared to CAPITOL ONE.
CAPITOL ONE is one of the LARGEST banks in the world.
if you had an economics degree (like miles,) you would know that:
lsu is doing great financially,
lsu football is doing better,
lsu has an economist for a coach,
lsu taf members are mostly hard working republicans that care more about the bottom line than they do about some sophomore ranterds who cry and whine about really stupid things.

You'll all talk about the contributions to the TAF and how they drop or didn't. I want to know how much say so the TAF actually has when it comes to Athletics.

TAF has a lot of strings when it comes to sports. The school pays for a % of the coachs salary and TAF covers the rest. Im not sure of the %, but i think that TAF pays equal or more than the school.

Isn't Miles actual salary from the university only like $400k? The rest comes from his tv/radio shows, appearances, endorsements, and mostly the TAF.
