I haven't been on the board much in the last couple of days and I don't know if anyone has posted pics of this. I'm sure this has been beat to death, yet I continue to see people defend JJ on here and blame RR. After seeing people claim that the ball hit RR "in the palms"... I went back to check it myself. You can see the ball barely hitting RR's right hand. I am sure someone will be complaining about the 'vertical' but we all know you can't turn your body, stretch out, and jump 3' off the ground while running.

While I pulled the first screen cap... I thought I'd show this one since it seems to be a recurring theme with JJ's passes. Even if RR would have caught the ball, he would have been knocked out.

oh yeah... in case anyone was wondering the o-line gave JJ plenty of protection on the play. Verne's words as JJ released the ball was "all day" and no one was near him.

Yeah, it was a shite throw.

Of course, any coach with a functioning brain could have predicted that JJ would yeild a game changing turnover in his first two series. After all, he's done it in three consecutive games now.

After looking at that pic I think it's on JJ

I had originally defended him but that's a little bit out of reach to expect him to make the catch.

If RR is as good as he thinks he is, he has to bring that down

That was about 80% RR and 20% JJ.

He had enough of the ball on his hands to at least knock it down.

Another thing people seem to be ignoring is the fact that JJ threw the ball right to an Auburn DB just a couple of plays before that. Luckily the DB dropped the ball but even Gary D made a comment about how it was a horrible read and you just can't throw the ball like that.

that was 1st down (2 plays before). it hit the AU DB square in his hands.

yep. had the same opinion when i first saw it. a GREAT wide receiver could've made that catch maybe 1/5 tries.

expecting RR to make that catch is a little ridic.

GTF outta here with that, he could barely touch the ball with his left finger tips

He is by far the best receiver on the team. Just put it close and he'll catch it. JJ can't even put it close, he was wide arse open too and no one was in the throwing lane. Just a terrible QB.

if you defend JJ on this you are blind. if we could find the play in full speed you would see RR was wide open. and all JJ had to do was throw it near him and he would catch it. it was crazy he even got that much of his hands on it.

He had all day to throw and a wide open receiver

Put the ball where it needs to be

He had about 4 really bad throws on that drive as it was

this pic was taken at the very moment the ball hit his fingertips. RR is FULLY extended and can barely even touch it. Keep in mind this camera angle is from above and makes the ball look even closer than it really is.

I know, but what about the pass play to the left flank! Were the announcers raped JJ on the 1/3!! It was horrible too!
