Late in the game when Fairley sacked JJ and threw him to the ground, Danielson made a passing comment about it after the play. If the LSU defense would have done the same to Newton, would it not led to major commentary by the analysts, showing the play over and over ?

It should have been played over and over. It was an absolutely sick hit.

Good hit. I have no problem with that. Now, he hit Lee twice about 3 seconds AFTER he let go of the ball that should have been called.

It was a violent take down. The initial contact was fine but the slam to the ground was a little rough. Even Danielson made comment that they needed to get these guys under control in terms of throwing players to the ground.

That, hell there was a false start play where someone SLAMMED JJ. A false start, he even dropped the ball down by his side and then got pile drived. No penalties at all. On a false start, really?

That definitely should have been a personal foul.

Hargrove got flagged for that same shite against Brett Favre in the NFC Championship game.

Jefferson gets that call if he's Brett Favre.

agreed, but the driving into the ground followed by the forarm to the face was certainly uncalled for. the shite he was doing all day would have been called in the NFL and he would be fined $50,000+

As a former football official the play on JJ was worthy of a personal foul for UR IMO. There was at least one late hit on Lee that I would have flagged as well.

Then block him and don't let him get in there again.

The only one I would have thrown a flag on was the false start dead play.

They let Fairley take a free shot on JJ and slam him to the ground. That no-call was absurd.

they did discuss it towards the end of the game, that the SEC needs to do something about the hits that the DL are delivering to the QB, referencing fairly's hits during the game.

There is no conspiracy against LSU

Fairley was in complete control of Jefferson.

When a player picks another player up and attempts to "body slam him" like some wrestling move it should be a 15 yard foul and an automatic ejection.

It was clear on Fairley hit on JL and JJ that the intent was to hurt him and not to just tackle him.

That fricker was clearly trying to hurt people. And there were at least two plays where he should have been flagged. Typical Auburn football.
