Does everybody still believe 2011 is our MNC year?

I think if we get rid of Crowton, bring in Mettenberger and hold our top ranked recruiting class, we win it all in 2011. Neither of our current QB's or the OC can lead us to the BCS championship even with a better schedule.

We will have a solid core of players coming back
we need a new OC with the ability to squeeze the talent out of the players and put them into plays and positions to succeed.

I wouldn't be too worried about our D in 2011. I like Freak coming in on DL, and Montgomery should be back. Mingo will put on 20 lbs., and mighty mouse should get bigger. We have Loston and Co., and hell, the way Peterson is declining, he may stay another year?

I stopped thinking so when we scheduled Oregon for that first game. we should have a talented D, but we're gonna be replacing our top 3 players/ leaders on that side of the ball.
on offense, I think Crowton's gone and Lee probably gets the starting QB job. so with that and the guys returning, I'm hopeful for that side.

I would like to agree with you but we are going to lose a ton of talent on defense and we play Oregon to begin the year.
Maybe if our O-line and Qb play improves (Mettenberger), but without an offense its very hard

Yes, we are looking at a good season...but what is disturbing is that we cannot snag a win against the top teams. UF this year doesn't feel as good when Miss St. beats them, too. If we beat OM and one of the two of Bama and Arky...then I will feel much better about his ability to get back to beating the best. What's going to change next year? The recruiting class? Our players are already great.
