I went down to Vegas and back for a quick business trip on Friday. We ended up going to the In n Out right by the strip. I make it a point to never miss the chance to go to one. Anyway, why the hell don't they raise their prices? That place is huge and it was STILL overflowing at 1 PM. It probably seats 75, and the tables were all full and people were standing waiting for tables AND the ordering line was like 25 deep. We had to sit outside across the way at their merchandise store. Long story short, it was worth it.

I really like this place. I love the hamburgers but I have been more impressed with the quality of their employees. I've probably been to a dozen locations and the employees are always engaged, thoughtful, and take their jobs seriously, whether they are teen agers or senior citizens. That type of consistency is rare in any business and particularly notable for one on that scale.

The kids behind the counter are positively brimming with cheer and helpfulness - and it's multi-racial as well. I think the company is kind of a cult maybe, but I sure do love the result of that.

It is by far their largest grossing location nationally, and always packed(note the gift store next door)..

They really should expand that location's size.

Yeah, I forgot to mention the drive thru line was epically long as well.

They are consistently rated one of the top fast food chains in customer service. Oddly enough Raising Cane's gets similar reviews and I can say based on personal experience I've always had friendly service at Cane's.

I've never gotten the Burger King Ghettotude from those people

I saw a billboard for Canes in LV. Didn't realize they had expanded that far.

When people ask me what In n Out is like I say Cane's except with hamburgers instead of chicken. I think the level of service at both is greatly improved by the simplicity of the menu. This makes things a lot easier, because you're not really cooking to order- you're just cooking, and everyone gets (more or less) the same thing.

I hear they are getting IN N OUT in Dallas next year. Maybe it will be up and running by the time LSU plays there in Sept.

I would imagine that location will be equally packed and as awesome as the rest of them.

It was all over the place a couple of months back. But I have relatives that live there and read it in the Dallas Morning News. I'm sure you can google it and find a link. Will be the only one besides the Vegas store that isn't in CA. Pretty cool.

Loved the burgers and service when I lived in Sac. Didn't think the fries were good though.

Yes -- if you notice, I corrected myself in the next post. Utah and AZ also have In N Out.

Regardless, Dallas is as close as Louisiana folks are going to get to one!
