re: Most original poboy in BR?

Grilled shrimp poboy at Sammy's is the deal. I usually like fried shrimp poboys, but this one is so good it's almost like a philly cheesesteak but better, spicier. Worth a shot if you're up for trying something new....
The ingredients will still be shipped fresh because Dallas is going to have it's own plant for producing meat, etc. Quality not being sacrificed and it's available to more people. Fantastic. Love me some In-N-Out....
Calvin's chicken salad is ridiculously good. Their pimento and cheese is top notch, too. We get sandwhich trays from Calvin's for tailgate parties all the time. Good quality and the price is fair....

Yes -- if you notice, I corrected myself in the next post. Utah and AZ also have In N Out. Regardless, Dallas is as close as Louisiana folks are going to get to one!...

It was all over the place a couple of months back. But I have relatives that live there and read it in the Dallas Morning News. I'm sure you can google it and find a link. Will be the only one besides the Vegas store that isn't in CA. Pretty cool....

I hear they are getting IN N OUT in Dallas next year. Maybe it will be up and running by the time LSU plays there in Sept. I would imagine that location will be equally packed and as awesome as the rest of them....

All their restaurants have bags of potatoes stacked everywhere. That's also their "thing" I guess. I happen to love the burger and the fries -- though I would not waste money on cajun fries. They're just like the regular fries with Tony's on them. If you like old school, homemade type fries ...

I think it's an awful shame that Eastwood and the movie got shut out for Oscar nominations. One of the best of the year, no doubt....

You'll have a hard time getting in, but Dickie Brennan's or Palace Cafe are personal favorites of mine. Perhaps your girl would settle for the night before or after V-day?...

I wore out the VHS tapes of this movie over the years until I finally found it on DVD. Greatest ever. Duval and Tommy Lee Jones brought that thing to life....

Bang Bang Shrimp Sea Bass with lemon butter or Filet with lobster tail This is one of the best "chain" places in town....
I get the strawberry cake every year for my birthday. It's the best thing they make, hands down. Bad service or good service, that cake is the bomb....
