Wilshere and Shawcross are NFL beasts.

i hope they don't do it for questionable helmet to helmet shots i hopes is obvious cause this could destroy some good teams.

what you call questionable? A defender shouldn't put his head down at all to hit a player.

Yea this is way overdue. With everything we are learning about concussions it is enough reason to do it. Add on top of that trying to help prevent another Rutgers situation and it is a great move. I agree that refs call it poorly sometimes but the suspensions will come after looking at the film, they should be able to get it right.

So that segment that ESPN ran in mid 2000s "JACKED UP" was not a great idea, or just hypocritical.

If someone INTENTIONALLY goes for a helmet-to-helmet hit, then yeah. But, if it's just one of those things where the contact just so happened to result in helmet-to-helmet, then let it go because that happens sometimes in a contact sport.

Lets just put skirts and flags on the players and just ban tackling all together. These players know its a contact sport and there is a risk of getting hurt when they decided to make football their bread and butter. Everything change in football rules that is intended to "protect the players" hurts defenses and helps offenses.

It looks like if you injure a player you are likely to get suspended. No Fun League.

Are defenders supposed to ask themselves whether they should tackle someone in their range due to the fact that it may result in a big hit and get suspended as a result? Wow that's unbelievable.

The NFL is way above other sports in this country and is a revenue-generating machine. Now they're making the NFL into a two-hand-touch league and looking at a potential lockout?

The NFL is screwing themselves on this.

Roger Goodell...loser.

They should have started this about 4-5 years ago. This crap they're doing now with leading with the head and shoulders is getting out of hand. I've reffed HS football for a while, and it seems like we have kids trying to do the same thing a few times every game.

I say the first offense, $25K and 1 game. Second offense $50 and 3 games.

How is taking away helmet to helmet hits a bitch move? You can still lay someone out without going helmet to helmet.
