Drake Nevis' senior season vs Glenn Dorsey's & Ndamukong Suh's

I know Dorsey was hurt in his Senior season, but Nevis is on pace for the following season and how it compares to Dorsey's Senior year:
13 game pace, (Dorsey started 13 games, but played in 14):
...............TT....Solo....Ast....TFL....Sacks....PD....INT....FF
Nevis.......72.......46......26......23.......11..........2......2......4
Dorsey....69.......39......30......12½......7..........3......0......1
And here is how he compares to Ndamukong Suh's senior year:
14 game pace, (Suh started 14 games):
...............TT....Solo....Ast....TFL....Sacks.......PD....INT....FF
Nevis.......77.......49......28......25.........12...........2......2......5
Suh.........85.......52......33......24.........12.........10......1......1
It goes without question that Nevis has been an absolute beast this season

take it to the bank, 2 sacks vs McNeese.

Nevis looked like he would be a monster during his Freshman year and then disappeared the last couple of seasons. He definitely is back with a vengeance this year. Any guesses on why this happened?

He needs to be careful against Auburn. That is the Freakin team that had a cheap chop block on Dorsey. Dorsey was never the same the rest of the year

I'd rather have Nevis, Kelvin Shepperd, and PP rest up this week than pad their stats against McNeese.

This was discussed in another thread. I believe Nevis will get to Suh's numbers in alot of categories, but TFL will be tough down the stretch. Also, Suh had like 26 QB hurries and I believe Nevis only has like 3 so far. Also, the pass breakups for Suh were high. I guess what I am saying is that Suh was wreaking havoc even when he could not actually get to the QB. With Nevis, it has either been sack or bust on passing plays.

he's been huge. dorsey was on an elite level too until the chop block happened.

Not true at all.
Against Florida specifically he split a double team and got into Brantley's feet that caused the ball to go high.
He gets no stat recognition for that play, but he completely altered it.
He also tipped a pass at the line but they gave the PBU to Mingo.
I'm not saying he's as dominant as Suh, but he's still altering passing plays, even when he's not getting sacks.

It's nice that we have another beast in the middle rather then a biscuit eating fat dude. Don't want to mention what team I'm thinking of.

JJ & Lee.
There. Now even THIS thread is ruined.

Nevisaurus Rex.... anyone Fark that yet ?
He still has 2 stat builders on the sheet. He might have 3 or 4 sacks in the McNeese game and who knows what else.
Dude is beast and a good kid too. Keep it up Drake !

Suh was good, no lie. However he played in the Big 12 which is not quite as good as the SEC. I would say Dorsey and Drake are better. Big Drake has been killing opposing offenses lately. They are forcing a double team on him and are having little success up the middle.
This is leading directly to K.Shep having another monster year at lb since he is free to roam and make stops. Plus, with PP locking down an entire third of the field the offense can only do so much.
Drake has no legitimate shot at the Heisman, but he should come home with some nice awards at the end of the year(As long as Auburn doesn't ruin it like they did against Dorsey).

Pretty tough to predict that a DT will have another INT since its rare to begin with

Against Florida and Tenn it sometimes looked like they were "letting" him blow in and get too deep to interfere with the run play - as you would do with an over aggressive DE. Never seen that before with a DT, but watching the replay again, he sometimes was not blocked face-up, then the Center just rode him 4 yds deep past the hand off point. He needs to keep awareness of the line - once he gets too deep there is a gaping hole, as occurred on two FL TDs.
Don't get me wrong - he is a man amongst boys. On pass plays they have to 2x - 3x him. But I think they are using a simple judo move on him on trap plays - use his speed against him and let the play develop behind him.
