2010 LSU Team = 2004 Auburn Team?

Is it just me, or is the media treating this year's LSU team a lot like the 2004 Auburn team in the rankings?

At this point, I am not sure that I disagree with the rankings for LSU. We are improving, but we have struggled in every game to win. In the end, if LSU were to win out, we would have played a much tougher schedule than I think Auburn had in 2004, if memory serves.

If LSU beats Auburn and Alabama they will get some respect. That is a big IF though. Just have to be patience

The sec is more respected now than it was in '04. LSU controls it's own destiny. If LSU keeps winning, the computer will love us. I wouldn't put any stock in rankings right now. However, I do think for an SEC team to get in this year, they will have to be undefeated unless quite a few undefeated teams with weaker schedules stumble

Its just you. We arent even close to bing as good as that team. That team would put up 42 on us...and I am not sure that we would put up 21...

The difference between 2010 LSU and 2004 Auburn is 2006 UF, 2007 LSU, 2008 UF and 2009 Bama. An undefeated SEC team is a lock for the national title.

Did I say anything about comparing the teams stats? I'm comparing the media respect.

yup. Plus LSU will get some cred from being 2007 champs.
